About the VPHA
Painting Victoria since 2013
The Victorian Paint Horse Association is a community of passionate members who enjoy showing, clinics and breeding their beautiful horses with friends. Founded in 2013 and based in Tonimbuk, the club promotes the Paint Horse across Victoria and runs its shows under Paint Horse Association of Australia rules.
What we run
- Victorian Paint Week at Tatura Park each March - the Southern Spectacular, the open-breed Ranch Show, Paint-O-Rama and the State Championships.
- The Tri Series - a spring series of shows across Victorian venues.
- Clinics and development squad days with visiting coaches, at venues such as Kilmore Equestrian Centre and Tonimbuk Equestrian Centre.
- Social days and the end-of-season awards night, where the year's high point awards are presented.
Everyone is welcome
Our shows carry classes from Tiny Tots and Small Fry through Youth, Beginner/Improver, Novice, Amateur, Masters and Open, plus EWD and RWD classes, so there is a ring for every rider and every horse - Paint, Paint bred, AQHA, AAA and, in the Ranch Show, every breed.
Frequently asked questions
Paint and Paint bred classes need a registered horse; the Southern Spectacular also runs AQHA and AAA halter classes, and the Ranch Show is open to all breeds.
Clinics and development days are announced in the Victorian Paint Horse Association Facebook group and listed on our events page once entries open.
