Questions about entering
Do I need to be a VPHA member?
No. Non-members pay a day membership of $35 per rider per day on top of their classes. Members enter regular classes with no day membership.
Are youth classes really free?
Yes - every youth regular class and every Tiny Tots class is free to enter. Feature classes are charged at the feature rate. The admin fee and arena levy still apply per horse.
Can I enter on the day?
Late entries are taken at the show office until 8am on show mornings only, with proof of payment, and only until 19 March with the $50 late fee. There is strictly no entering at the gate.
Can my horse stay on the float or in a yard?
No. Every horse at Paint Week must be stabled. Stables are $35 a night including shavings and are booked with your entry.
What rules do the shows run under?
PHAA rules. The Beginner/Improver classes are VPHA-rule classes and are non-sanctioned. Stallion Incentive features are open only to progeny by nominated sires or out of nominated mares.
When are the high point awards?
About an hour after the final class of each show.
